This story is based on true events Last year I was sure to participate in Shipaton but it ended up not happening. It was a busy time for me as I was leaving the company I was working for and going solo, to build Faboolos. And now, as I was talking to some friends and they’re participating, I could feel the FOMO creeping in and then decided to join too. So this video is about what I’m building and let’s see if this year I will finally ship it into Shipaton 🚀🚢 THE IDEA So: let’s imagine Pokemon, Digimon, National Geographics and Paddington. Old books mixed with magic, and Minalima as refence. This is my moodboard. I want to make fictional short stories, but about real animals. So we can have best of both worlds: fun and stories based on real events. I can show you one example: Berry, the grizzly bear She’s a cutie and as the reader is discovering what she is via Faboolos as the narrator, and we will, at the same time, be using what I’ve built this past year (now with the help of an app that allows haptic and sounds to be played as a haptic feedback). Isn’t that cool? WILL I SHIP IT? You know, this year was quite interesting to see how hard it is to work alone. Even though AI is there every day talking to me and telling me how great I am, I still feel very lost at times, but other times extremely happy when people like the stories I have been building. I really think it’s time to just accept that while my own approval doesn’t really come first, I’ll never have confidence to publish things for others to see. So I want to have fun building this.
